GIFT TV is how we communicate with the world through Roku TV. The Global Independent Filmmakers Tribe (G.I.F.T.) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization made up of a collaborative of independent filmmakers. Our mission is to bring you documentary and dramatic works that give life to stories that preserve history and give a voice to people, cultures and social issues that bring about positive change.
Denise Powell is founder and Executive Director
of G.I.F.T., established in 2021. Denise is a graduate of Florida A&M University and a former U.S. naval officer. Her goal in establishing G.I.F.T. is to produce programming that will preserve valuable history, inform and educate on hard-to-discuss issues, and to bring awareness and financial and other support to our nonprofit and other partners and to help expand G.I.F.T.'s vision and missions.
G.I.F.T. partnered with our first nonprofit partner, the Vitiligo Man of Action and the Vitiligo Brotherhood Alliance to bring coverage from the 2022 Vitiligo Summit in Atlanta, Georgia to the world. Our collective goal is to educate the public and answer questions that people may have about the causes and symptoms of vitiligo, the unexpected loss of pigmenation of the skin.
Look for Faces of Vitiligo on Amazon Prime, Tubi, and YouTube to listen to the stories of Vitiligo Man of Action founder Perry Whaley and other dynamic program participants of their journeys and of how they encourage others to cope and help others navigate and thrive through the vitiligo journey.

Another major mission of G.I.F.T. is to share the histories of people of color and other underrepresented populations. G.I.F.T. is excited to bring you productions that lift unexpected and unknown histories off the pages of books and from within the walls of historic places such as the museums that comprise the Florida African Heritage Preservation Network and other monuments.
